Terms of usage....

This forum focuses on horned lizards, their care and husbandry in captivity, preservation in the wild, and general information and natural history.

This forum is moderated.

Verbal abuse, indecency, personal attacks, threats (which will be reported to the proper authorities), or topics that have nothing at all to do with horned lizards will probably be removed. Debate is encouraged, and disagreements will occur. Keep it polite and respectful please. If you have a personal problem with someone, handle it in private....DO NOT start anything personal, it WILL be removed. All points of view are tolerated here.
Any abuse of the rules here will be grounds for immediate removal of your posts, and/or termination of your account in the case of gross or consistent disregard for these rules.

If someone ASKS YOU to not use their "real" name on the forum, and you continue to do so, it will be considered harassment and treated as such. This forum does not require that people use their real name.

Personal emails and messages should not be posted on the forum. If BOTH parties agree to have them shared then contact me BEFORE posting the correspondence.

No sales, trades, gifts, or requests for animals will be allowed except as noted in the forum adoption sections, nor will ads for private businesses, UNLESS approved by the moderators. If you are trying to spam the forum with advertisements of any kind, you will be removed and your privileges will be revoked immediately.
Your signature is not the place to advertise. In the user profile section there is a space to add a personal link. Feel free to link to your website, whether it be personal or commercial. This is the only space for advertising your website except that you may feel free to post any commercial advertisements you like in the classified section, as long as they are related to the care of horned lizards, and meet the other requirements for general posts.

Do not give SPECIFICS to your field herping locations on the forum. If you wish to share or request that information with another user, please do so in private, and use discretion. There are illegal commercial collectors out there and we do not want to contribute to that activity. That information can be damaging to wild horned lizard populations on a public forum, and we will not allow it. Keep your posted horned lizard locations very general.

Avatars are allowed, but anything obscene, WAY off topic, or intended to be inflammatory will be removed, and may be grounds for being banned from the forum.
Use good judgment in choosing your avatar.

Keep in mind that the moderators will run this forum as we see fit. Anything we feel does not benefit this forum can and will be deleted at our discretion.

This forum is managed by those who own http://www.phrynosoma.org and will reflect our views regarding horned lizard husbandry and conservation, although other views are welcome here. We believe there is room for everyone's ideas and opinions, as long as they are presented in good taste and good will toward fellow forum users.
